Maharashtra faces rising temperatures with heatwave conditions expected on March 7. Yellow alert issued for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and Raigad as temperatures may reach up to 39°C in parts of the state.

The temperature across Maharashtra continues to rise, with the Meteorological Department warning of heatwave-like conditions in several parts of the state. A Yellow Alert has been issued for Mumbai, Palghar, Thane and Raigad, where hot and humid weather conditions are expected to persist on Saturday, March 7.

According to weather forecasts, parts of Vidarbha and Marathwada may witness temperatures ranging between 35°C and 39°C, prompting authorities to advise citizens to take precautions against heat-related illnesses.

In the Konkan region, districts including Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg are likely to experience hot and humid weather. In Mumbai, the maximum temperature is expected to range between 33°C and 37°C, while the minimum temperature may remain between 22°C and 25°C. High humidity levels are expected to intensify the discomfort.

In Western Maharashtra, districts such as Pune, Satara, Sangli and Kolhapur are forecast to experience dry and hot weather conditions. Pune is likely to record maximum temperatures between 35°C and 38°C, with minimum temperatures ranging from 17°C to 20°C.

Meanwhile, North Maharashtra, including Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon and Nandurbar, is also expected to see rising temperatures. Nashik may record daytime temperatures between 33°C and 36°C, while nighttime temperatures could hover around 18°C to 21°C.

In the Marathwada region, districts such as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed, Latur, Nanded, Parbhani and Dharashiv are likely to experience hot and dry weather, with maximum temperatures between 34°C and 36°C and minimum temperatures around 19°C to 22°C.

The Vidarbha region is expected to record the highest temperatures in the state. Cities including Nagpur, Amravati, Akola, Washim, Yavatmal, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli and Buldhana may see maximum temperatures between 36°C and 39°C, with minimum temperatures ranging from 20°C to 24°C.

Overall, Maharashtra is likely to experience intense summer conditions on March 7, with rising temperatures across several regions. Authorities have urged citizens to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight during peak hours and remain alert to symptoms of heat exhaustion.
