Hinjawadi traffic police conducts No Tolerance Initiative, takes action against reckless drivers

Hinjawadi Traffic division under the guidance of Krishna Prakash, Commissioner, Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate held a No Tolerance Initiative in Hinjawadi and imposed fines on several motorists flouting traffic rules. The drive was undertaken by Additional Commissioner of Police Sanjay Shinde, Anand Bhoite, deputy commissioner of Police, assistant commissioner of police Shrikant Disale, assistant commissioner of police Nandkishor Bhosale, senior police inspector Vitthal Kubade, nine police staff and 83 police amaldar, 21 traffic wardens, RCP.

Nine teams were formed and deployed at Bhujbal chowk, Indian Oil, Shivaji chowk, Wipro Phase 1, Geometric circle, Tata T junction, Wipro Circle 2, Radha chowk, Balewadi stadium from 8.30 am to 1 pm. Over 844 vehicles were found flouting the rules and fine of Rs 5,81,700 was collected. Those motorists who were fined but had not paid the fine amount, 714 motorists were imposed fine and amount of Rs 3,62,700 was collected from them.

Motorists were imposed fine for violating traffic rules such as driving without documents, using mobile phone while driving, modification in silencer, driving without rear mirrors, driving without vehicle insurance, fancy number plates, using tinted black screen on the car, etc.

Krishna Prakash informed that such drives shall be held in the city and action against those violating the traffic rules shall be imposed fine.
