Historical monuments open for tourists now

Historical monuments under the Archaeological Survey of Maharashtra in Pune division such as Pune, Satara, Kolhapur, Sangli, Solapur districts shall now be open for tourists from November 12.

Deputy Director Vilas Wahane from ASI informed that the protected and historical monuments shall remain open for tourists.

It is mandatory for the tourists to follow Covid19 health protocols and tourist places in non containment zones shall remain open for visit. Tourists should wear face masks while at the tourist places. Also, spitting and smoking in the premises of the tourists places is banned. Only those having authorised and licensed guides and photographers shall be allowed. Littering in tourist places shall be prohibited.

People not keeping well shall not be allowed. Seating arrangements, washrooms should be cleaned and sanitised at regular intervals, informed Wahane.
