Hyderabad, Pune, and Navi Mumbai have emerged as dynamic talent hubs in India, ranking among the top three cities for overall quality of living, according to KPMG’s India Talent Feasibility Report.

While traditional metros like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru continue to attract a high concentration of diverse talent, India’s employment landscape is evolving. Tier-2 and satellite cities are gaining prominence due to factors like talent availability, government support, infrastructure development, and cost considerations. This shift is reshaping talent acquisition strategies and the location choices of organizations.

KPMG’s report highlights that the nature of work is increasingly influencing organizational decisions. Tactical and transformational roles tend to be situated near headquarters in tier-1 and tier-2 cities, while transactional roles are more common in these locations. Despite the high attrition rates in tier-1 cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, satellite cities like Navi Mumbai and Noida, as well as tier-2 cities, experience lower attrition rates.

This trend indicates a strategic shift towards these emerging talent hubs, driven by a balance of quality of living, cost-effectiveness, and a growing talent pool.
