The Siddharth Anand-directed film ‘’Fighter’ in which actors Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan are in leading roles, is facing legal issues.

The kissing of Hrithik & Deepika is the focus point of the controversy. The characters were wearing Air Force uniforms when they performed the kissing scene.

An Indian Air Force (IAF) officer has criticized the portrayal of the scene and has sent a legal notice to the production team. The officer claims that the kiss is being shown in a way that denigrates the bravery and sacredness of the military uniform. The controversy has been heightened by the portrayal of the characters as members of an elite Indian Air Force team.

Hrithik Roshan plays Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania in the movie, while Deepika Padukone plays Squadron Leader Mini Rathore. The protagonists overcome a number of obstacles in their personal and professional lives before kissing in the climax scene. Actors Anil Kapoor, Akshay Oberoi, Karan Singh Grover etc have also acted in the movie.

“Fighter,” which has been written by Siddharth Anand and produced by Viacom 18 Studios and Marflix Pictures, is the first entry in a planned film series of aerial action franchises.
