IIT-Delhi student dies by suicide at his house

Pune: A 23-year-old student from IIT-Delhi committed suicide in East Delhi’s Vivek Vihar area on Wednesday.
The deceased, identified as Panav Jain, was in his fourth year of pursuing a B Tech degree.
As per the information provided, after returning from their evening walk on Tuesday, his parents tragically found his body at around 9 p.m. The police reported that Panav had used a dupatta to hang himself from a weight-lifting rod in their home.
As per the information received, Panav’s parents rushed him to Pushpanjali Hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival. According to Panav’s father’s statement to the police, his son had been battling stress and depression for several months and was undergoing treatment.
No suicide note was discovered, and the investigation is currently ongoing.
