Important: Traffic Diversion Announced In Pune Ahead President’s Visit
Schools Near Symbiosis University Lavale To Remain Closed On September 3 Due To Presidential Visit
In light of the scheduled visit of President Draupadi Murmu to Pune on July 28 and 29, 2024, a traffic diversion order has been issued to ensure law and order, prevent congestion, and guarantee the safety of the VIP. The President will be attending an event at Symbiosis University, Lavale, Pune, on July 29.
According to the proposal by the Superintendent of Police, Pune Rural, Dr. Suhas Divse, the District Magistrate of Pune, has mandated a diversion for all light, heavy, and heavy-duty vehicles from Nandegaon-Sunny’s World and Sus Road to Pune. This diversion will be in effect from 12:01 AM to 4:00 PM on July 29, 2024, to ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of the VIP during the President’s visit.
The notification was issued on July 25, 2024, and bears the signature and seal of Dr. Suhas Diwase, District Magistrate, Pune.
The alternative routes provided for the diverted traffic are as follows:
- Traffic from Nandegaon to Pune via Male and Hinjewadi.
- Traffic from Nandegaon to Pune via Pirangut and Chandni Chowk.
This order, authorized under Section 115 of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988, and the Home Department notification dated May 19, 1990, aims to facilitate smooth and uninterrupted traffic flow during the President’s visit.
