New Delhi, May 8, 2025: Amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, a Pakistani drone strike targeted Jammu on Thursday evening, leading to explosions near the airport and a complete power blackout in the region, including the holy town of Vaishno Devi. Following the attack, air raid sirens were activated across the city, and security forces were placed on high alert.

Pakistan Retaliates After Indian Drone Strikes
According to official sources, the attack is believed to be Pakistan’s retaliation after India launched strategic drone strikes on multiple Pakistani cities earlier in the week. In response, Pakistan reportedly deployed drones over Jammu’s airspace, which were quickly detected and neutralized by the Indian Army.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing multiple loud explosions, followed by power outages across Jammu and adjoining areas. The Indian Army intercepted and shot down several Pakistani drones within minutes of detecting them.
