India’s First BMW CE-02 Electric Scooter Delivered in Kerala, Priced at Rs 4.5 Lakh
India’s inaugural BMW Motorrad CE-02 electric scooter, valued at Rs 4.5 lakh, has been successfully delivered.
The motorcycle division of the prestigious German luxury brand BMW, operating as BMW Motorrad India, has made a significant entry into the Indian market with the launch of its first CE-02 electric scooter.
In recent times, electric scooters have undergone considerable advancements. In India, the average price for a premium electric scooter is approximately Rs 1.5 lakh.
Nevertheless, earlier this month, BMW Motorrad launched its uniquely designed and premium electric scooter—the BMW CE-02. This remarkable electric vehicle scooter has been introduced at a price point of Rs 4.5 lakh. This distinctive electric scooter has already been delivered in Kerala, and a video showcasing the event has gained traction online. The BMW Concept Electric, or CE-02, offers a more compact option compared to the CE-04, which is priced at a substantial Rs 14.9 lakh.
A video showcasing the inaugural delivery of India’s first BMW CE-02 has been posted on the official BMW Motorrad India Instagram page.
In this brief clip, the new owner of this distinctive electric scooter is seen at the BMW Motorrad dealership, where showroom staff warmly welcome him and present a special cake.
He proceeds to cut the cake, surrounded by his friends and family. Next, the owner of the electric scooter removes the cover. Following this, he receives the key to his BMW CE-02 along with a small gift hamper. He then hops on his new scooter and rides it out of the BMW Motorrad dealership.
The BMW CE-02 features a double-loop frame constructed from tubular steel, with a total weight of approximately 142 kg. This distinctive electric scooter is produced in India and has been entirely designed from scratch.
In terms of features, it includes a 3.5-inch TFT instrument console, a Bluetooth interface, and an SP Connect smartphone holder.
