IndiGo not willing to fly with just 6 flyers; tricks flyers to get off plane

Bengaluru: At Bengaluru airport, six passengers on an IndiGo flight headed for Chennai were allegedly ‘tricked’ into disembarking from the aircraft because the airline was unwilling to proceed to the destination with just six people on board.
As per information, on Sunday night, at approximately 9.30 p.m., an incident occurred at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) following the landing of IndiGo flight 6E478. The flight had taken off from Amritsar and was headed to Chennai via Bengaluru.
According to an onboard passenger, there were six people on the Bengaluru flight, an Indigo ground crew member called them requesting to disembark from the flight. The crew member was waiting for the passengers inside the airport with their boarding pass for a different flight that was scheduled to depart for Chennai. After receiving similar phone calls, the remaining five passengers also exited the aircraft.
The passengers assert that IndiGo misled them by claiming that they would be placed on a different flight that was scheduled to take off, claiming that the airline would not fly with just six people on board. All six had to spend the night in the city and depart on Monday since there was no other flight to Chennai that day.
The passengers have demanded action against IndiGo for ‘blatant lie’ that caused them inconvenience, as well as compensation for the inconvenience.
