INS Shivaji extends help in fire incident
INS Shivaji rendered aid to civil authorities after fire outbreak at Sajgaon, Arcos Industries at MIDC, approx 27 km from Lonavla on 06 Nov 20.
The request was received from Khopoli police. Immediately fire tender from INS Shivaji Fire Station was immediately deputed along with the fire brigade personnel and the fire was successfully bought under control and doused by 1750 by INS Shivaji Fire brigade.
The fire brigade fought the fire using AFFF, which was not available with other fire tenders at the scene. There were about 20 fire tenders at the place of fire. The incident claimed two lives and left seven people injured.
