After a year of closure, the airport in Pune’s international cargo service is about to reopen. The airport administration has been given the go-ahead to start international operations, and the customs department has released a circular to that effect. The international cargo service will begin this coming Monday at Pune Airport after preparations.

The Pune airport’s international cargo services were shut down for a year because the customs department refused to clear the cargo.

Following the resolution of minor technical issues, the airport facility was inspected by Customs Department officials in December. Cargo service was subsequently approved during the first week of January.

Since the international cargo service has begun, Pune’s residents and small and large business owners will both profit from it.

Pune currently has international connections to Dubai and Singapore. Thus, the products will be shipped straight to these two locations. Additionally, Pune airport is a convenient location for travelers who wish to ship their belongings to other nations, like the United States and Europe.

The Pune Airport facility is also where the “transit” facility is starting. According to this, “cargo” won’t need to obtain permission from Customs at other airports as long as they receive it from the Customs Department at Pune Airport.
