Khushboo Patani, former Lieutenant in the Indian Army and sister of actor Disha Patani, is earning widespread praise for her heartfelt and courageous act of rescuing an abandoned baby girl in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday.
In a video shared on Instagram, Khushboo recounted how she discovered the infant near her residence. The emotional clip shows her carefully lifting the crying baby from a dilapidated shanty and gently comforting her, assuring the child that she would be safe and well cared for.
The incident occurred during Khushboo’s morning walk when she heard cries coming from an abandoned building. According to Circle Officer (City-I) Pankaj Srivastava, Khushboo climbed over a wall to access the structure, where she found the baby girl alone and visibly injured.
Appealing to the public, Khushboo said, “If you are from Bareilly and this is your child, then tell us how the parents left her in this place. Shame on such parents!” She requested viewers to help identify the child and share her pictures to locate her family. Naming the baby “Radha,” Khushboo vowed to monitor the police case closely and ensure that the child receives proper care and a safe future.
In the caption of her video, she wrote:
“Jako rakhe saiyan, maar sake na koi. I hope she will be taken care by authorities and whatever is the chain of command ahead with proper rules and regulations. I will ensure that she goes to the right hands and her life flourishes henceforth.”

Celebrities like Disha Patani and Bhumi Pednekar joined thousands of netizens in praising Khushboo’s bravery and compassion. “God bless her and you,” Disha commented, while Bhumi wrote, “Just cried seeing this.
