Ketan Agrawal Murder Case: Beed Link Emerges As Pune Police Probe Classmate's Alleged Role In Murder Plot
Pune, July 3, 2026: The investigation into the murder of Ketan Agrawal at Lohagad Fort has taken a fresh turn after Pune Police uncovered a possible Beed connection in the case. According to information emerging during the probe, a classmate of the main accused, Chetan Choudhary, was allegedly aware of the murder conspiracy before the crime was committed.
Police sources said the youth, who is reportedly a close friend of both Chetan Choudhary and co-accused Siya, had been informed about the plan to kill Ketan Agrawal. Investigators believe the accused had discussed the murder in detail with him before the incident. The duo had also allegedly urged him to accompany them to Lohagad Fort on June 18, the day of the murder, but he did not join them due to personal reasons.

Investigators have also found it suspicious that after the murder, Chetan Choudhary allegedly went directly to meet the same classmate. Police suspect the youth may possess crucial information about the events following the crime, including the accused’s movements and subsequent plans.
The youth is a native of Beed district and is currently employed with a reputed private company in Balewadi, Pune. Police are examining why he did not alert authorities despite allegedly knowing about the conspiracy and why the prime accused chose to meet him immediately after the murder.
With these fresh revelations, the investigation has become more complex. Pune Police are expected to summon the youth for questioning soon, and officials believe the probe could lead to further arrests as they continue to unravel the conspiracy behind the murder.
