Siya Goyal Flashes Middle Finger At Media During Police Search At Her Home; Video Goes Viral
Pune: Siya Goyal, the prime accused in the alleged murder of her fiancé, Ketan Agarwal, has once again come under the spotlight after she was caught on camera making an obscene gesture at media personnel while being escorted by police in Pune.
A 17-second video shared by news agency IANS on X shows Siya leaving her residence in Pune’s Market Yard area as part of the ongoing police investigation. Dressed in a black T-shirt with a printed scarf covering her face, she briefly looked towards the journalists gathered outside, raised her middle finger, and then got into a police vehicle.
The incident comes as the Pune Rural Police continue their investigation into the alleged murder of Ketan Agarwal, who died after falling into a gorge at Lohagad Fort near Pune on June 18.
According to the police, Siya and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, conspired to kill Ketan. Investigators said Siya initially claimed that Ketan had accidentally slipped and fallen from the fort, prompting police to register an accidental death case.
However, officers later became suspicious after reportedly observing that Siya showed no visible signs of grief following Ketan’s death. This led to a deeper investigation, which culminated in the arrest of both Siya and Chetan.
Police said Siya and Ketan were engaged, and their families had fixed their wedding for November this year. Investigators believe Chetan was unhappy with the engagement and viewed Ketan as an obstacle to his relationship with Siya.
According to the investigation, Siya allegedly made an earlier attempt to kill Ketan on June 14 by pushing him near the fort. Police claimed he survived after grabbing onto a bush along the hillside. Investigators further alleged that Siya then created a diversion by pretending to spot a snake before comforting Ketan to avoid arousing suspicion.
A few days later, police alleged that Siya persuaded Ketan to return to Lohagad Fort, where Chetan was also present. Investigators claim the two then pushed Ketan from behind into the gorge, resulting in his death.
Both accused are scheduled to be produced before the Wadgaon Court at 2:30 pm on Friday, where police are expected to seek further legal proceedings in the case.
