Pune: ‘Kojagiri Poornima’ will be observed on October 28, 2023, and it is anticipated that a large number of Pune city residents will visit the parks.

As a result, the parks within the Pune Municipal Corporation limits will remain open to all citizens from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on the occasion.

According to the information provided, it is mandatory, under Section 66 (10) of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act, 1949, to provide public parks, gardens, and open spaces for recreational purposes to the citizens. The Garden Department, operating under 15 regional offices, has developed a total of 211 parks, aquariums, and zoological museums within the jurisdiction of PMC. Moreover, the Garden Department is responsible for the development, beautification, maintenance, upkeep, and repair of these parks. These parks attract a significant number of citizens, children, and tourists.
