In a harrowing turn of events, an 18-year-old boy from Bengaluru stands accused of fatally assaulting his younger brother during a heated argument over a mobile phone. The incident, which occurred on May 15th, has sent shockwaves through the Neriga area, where the siblings resided.

The accused, identified as Shivakumar, allegedly confronted his brother, Praneesh, while he was engrossed in playing video games on the mobile phone. Shivakumar, a school dropout, demanded the return of the device, sparking a dispute between the two brothers.

As tensions escalated, Shivakumar purportedly brandished a hammer in a threatening manner. In a fit of rage, he struck Praneesh on the head with the hammer, causing him to collapse to the ground. Shivakumar continued to assail his younger brother, delivering several more blows with the hammer.

Tragically, the incident remained undisclosed until later in the day when the parents returned home from work. It was then that Shivakumar revealed the grim discovery of Praneesh’s lifeless body to his unsuspecting parents.

The chilling revelation came to light when authorities were alerted to the death, prompting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Praneesh’s demise. Upon interrogation, Shivakumar confessed to the fatal assault, admitting his culpability in the tragic incident.

The accused was subsequently apprehended by the police and presented before the court, where he was remanded to judicial custody pending further legal proceedings.
