Kolhapur-Pune Vande Bharat Express Ticket To Cost Rs 560, PM Modi to Virtually Flag Off Today
Kolhapur – The Kolhapur-Pune Vande Bharat Express, set to be flagged off on Monday, will offer fast and efficient travel between the two cities, with a fare of Rs 560 for regular passengers. The train, which has a total seating capacity of 530, includes 52 executive class seats priced at Rs 1,135 per passenger.
BJP Rajya Sabha MP Dhananjay Mahadik announced on Sunday that the Vande Bharat Express will run three times a week in both directions. The train will depart from Kolhapur every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday at 8:15 a.m., arriving in Pune by 1:30 p.m. It will return from Pune to Kolhapur on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, leaving at 2:15 p.m. and reaching its destination by 7:40 p.m.
The train will make scheduled stops at Miraj, Sangli, Kirloskarwadi, Karad, and Satara. Mahadik confirmed that the eight-car train will consist of seven chair cars and one executive class coach.
The flag-off ceremony will take place at Kolhapur’s Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus at 4 p.m., with Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurating the service. Minister of State for Railways V Sommana will be the chief guest at the event.
