Kolkata Rape-Murder Accused Sanjay Roy: Psychoanalysis Reveals ‘Animalistic Instincts’ And Lack Of Remorse
Kolkata, August 24, 2024 — The psychoanalytic profile of Sanjay Roy, accused in the brutal rape and murder of a doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, reveals disturbing psychological traits. According to a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officer, Roy exhibits “animal-like instincts,” with no remorse or hesitation about the crime. He is described as a “pervert” and severely addicted to pornography.
Roy’s lack of repentance was evident during his interrogation, where he provided a detailed account of the crime without any sign of guilt. The tragic incident occurred when the victim, a doctor, was resting in the hospital’s seminar hall during a 36-hour shift. She was raped, severely beaten, and strangled to death, suffering multiple external and internal injuries, according to the post-mortem report.
Roy was arrested a day after the crime, with evidence including CCTV footage and the discovery of his Bluetooth headphones near the crime scene, linking him to the murder. His mobile phone also contained several pornographic clips, further indicating his perverse tendencies.
The investigation has expanded to explore a potential larger conspiracy involving other individuals. Former RG Kar Medical College principal, Dr. Sandip Ghosh, has been questioned extensively by the CBI. There are also allegations of financial irregularities against Dr. Ghosh, with a former colleague, Akhtar Ali, claiming his involvement in the “business of dead bodies.”
Authorities are considering conducting polygraph tests on Sanjay Roy, Dr. Ghosh, and others to uncover further details surrounding the crime. The Kolkata Police are also conducting their own parallel investigation.
