Kondhwa Locals Rally Against PMC Following Series of Fatal Accidents on Katraj Kondhwa Road
In yet another heart-wrenching incident, a tragic accident occurred on the Katraj Kondhwa road today, resulting in the immediate loss of a woman’s life. This marks the second such incident within a span of 12 hours, and distressingly, the fourth incident in just the past two days.
Just last week, a distressing incident unfolded where a large truck collided with more than eight vehicles, resulting in one fatality and five individuals sustaining injuries. The community members residing in the vicinity are expressing growing frustration due to the apparent lack of action from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). The ongoing delay in the completion of the Katraj Kondhwa road’s construction, which has remained unresolved for over a year and a half, has intensified the residents’ dissatisfaction.
In response to the prevailing situation, the residents of Kondhwa organized a demonstration at the Kondhwa Smashanbhumi, situated along the Katraj Kondhwa road. Former MLA Mahadev Babar and numerous local Kondhwa residents actively participated in this protest, aiming to voice their concerns and hold the PMC accountable for their perceived inaction.
