Kondhwa : Pune Police busts illegal hookah bar near Cloud 9, seizes hookahs and tobacco pods
Pune Police raids Lulla nagar Hookah parlour; goods seized from rooftop hotel
The Pune City Police conducted a raid on an illegal hookah bar at EDP Family Restaurant near Cloud 9 area in Kondhwa. The operation was carried out by officers from the Social Security Cell of the Crime Branch, and individuals smoking hookah within the restaurant were discovered under covert surveillance.
The police confiscated tobacco hookah pods, 15 hookah pots, and other materials, which will serve as crucial evidence in the ongoing investigation. Four persons, including the restaurant owner and manager, have been booked under sections 4-A and 21-A of the Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products (Maharashtra Amendment) Act-2018 at Kondhwa Police Station.
The investigation was carried out by Kondhwa Police Station under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ramnath Pokle and DCP (Crime) Amol Zende. The team included Senior Police Inspector Bharat Jadhav, Assistant Police Inspector Anikte Pote, and police personnel Rajendra Kumawat, Baba Karpe, Tushar Bhivarkar, and Amit Jamdade.
