Kondhwa traffic cop works beyond his duty to clear traffic
Police Constable Nikhil Krushna Nagawade working with the Kondhwa Traffic division of Pune City Traffic Police was at work when heavy rainfall led to accumulation of water at Gera junction signal, Lulla Nagar in Kondhwa. This further led to long queue of vehicles disrupting the traffic.
The storm water chambers were covered with waste which stopped the water. He decided to removed the waste which was choking the chamber. The water flow receded later and queue of vehicles reduced. The incident took place on September 9, 2021. His heroic act has earned him accolades not only from his seniors but also from the local residents. Nagawade went beyond his duty to improvise the traffic situation.
