Konkan Railway passengers are advised to take note of an upcoming mega block scheduled for February 9, impacting the Sawantwadi Road – Diva Express and Mumbai CSMT – Madgaon Jan Shatabdi Express.
The mega block, lasting 2.30 hours between Advali – Achirne station, is aimed at maintenance and repair work to ensure the smooth operation of Mail-Express trains on the Konkan Railway.
Travelers on February 9 should check the train schedule as the Sawantwadi Road – Diva Express is expected to be delayed by 90 minutes between Sawantwadi Road – Kankavali section. Similarly, the Mumbai CSMT – Madgaon Jan Shatabdi Express will experience a 10-minute delay at Ratnagiri station.
In a positive development for passengers, Konkan Railway has announced unreserved MEMU special trains between Chiplun to Panvel and Panvel to Ratnagiri. Commencing on February 9 and running until March 31, Train No. 01158 Chiplun – Panvel Unreserved Special MEMU will reach Panvel at 3:25 PM on the same day. Additionally, Train No. 01157 Panvel-Ratnagiri Unreserved Special MEMU will reach Ratnagiri at 8:25 PM on Sunday and 4:00 AM the following day.
These trains will make stops at various stations and comprise 8 coaches for unreserved MEMU passengers. This initiative aims to provide relief to passengers traveling between Chiplun and Mumbai, offering a convenient and efficient travel option.
