Koyata Attack On Police In Pune: Wanowrie Police Officer Injured

In a violent altercation near the New Royal Auto Garage at the Sasane Nagar railway gate this afternoon around 4:00 PM, a confrontation escalated between individuals on two motorcycles. Nihal Singh Mannu Singh Tak, riding a Hero Ignitor motorcycle, and his unidentified accomplice were engaged in a heated argument with two men on a Honda Activa. During the altercation, Nihal Singh and his accomplice allegedly assaulted the men on the Honda Activa.

Wanwadi Police Station’s API Ratnadeep Gaikwad, who happened to be passing by, intervened in an attempt to diffuse the situation and disarm Nihal Singh, who was wielding a machete. In a shocking turn of events, Nihal Singh allegedly threw the machete at API Gaikwad, striking him in the head and inflicting serious injuries.

API Gaikwad is currently receiving medical treatment. While his injuries are serious, doctors have stated that his life is not in danger. Police teams have been deployed to apprehend Nihal Singh and his unidentified accomplice, who fled towards Sayyed Nagar following the incident.
