Leopard Sighting Near Aundh: Forest Department, RESQ Teams Continue Search; Residents Asked To Stay Alert
Pune, 23 November 2025: A leopard was spotted early this morning near RBI Colony and Sindh Society in Aundh, prompting an immediate response from the Pune Forest Department and RESQ CT teams. Officials confirmed that teams reached the spot before dawn and have been tracking the animal since.
According to the department, the last confirmed sighting was around 4 am. After that, no reliable evidence of its movement has been recorded. Despite this, search operations are continuing with full preparedness. Thermal drones and other advanced equipment are being used to scan the area thoroughly.
Forest officials have appealed to residents to remain cautious but not panic. All societies in the vicinity have been alerted, and teams will continue night-time monitoring until the situation is fully under control.
