Mixed Weather Across Maharashtra on Monday: Light Rain Likely in Konkan and Western Districts
Maharashtra Weather Update, 23 November: The state is set to experience mixed weather conditions on Monday, with light rainfall predicted in parts of Konkan and Western Maharashtra. A decline in cold northerly winds has reduced the overall chill, creating favourable conditions for rain in select regions.
According to the weather department, Mumbai is expected to witness partly cloudy skies with light rain and thunder. The maximum temperature may reach 34°C, while the minimum could hover around 23°C. Light showers with thunder are also likely in Thane, Raigad, and Ratnagiri. Sindhudurg may see light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder.
In Western Maharashtra, Pune is likely to remain mostly clear, with temperatures ranging between 32°C (maximum) and 14°C (minimum). Light rainfall has been predicted for Kolhapur, Kolhapur Ghat areas, and Sangli, where isolated showers may occur.
Marathwada may experience a drop in chill as well. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is expected to see clear skies with temperatures between 33°C and 18°C.
In North Maharashtra, the cool weather has eased slightly. Nashik is likely to remain clear on 24 November, with temperatures expected to stay between 32°C (maximum) and 17°C (minimum).
Meanwhile, Vidarbha will continue to observe mostly clear skies. Nagpur may record a maximum of 30°C and a minimum of 14°C. Residents in Vidarbha have reported warmer afternoons due to the reduced chill.
Weather experts note that Maharashtra is currently experiencing significant temperature fluctuations. While some regions may receive light rainfall with cloudy conditions, others will witness warmer afternoons due to weakened cold winds. This mixed weather pattern is likely to continue for the next two to three days, prompting citizens to take necessary precautions.
