Maa Behen To Premiere On Netflix On June 4; Stars Madhuri Dixit And Triptii Dimri In Lead Roles
Crime-comedy drama directed by Suresh Triveni also marks the acting debut of influencer Dharna Durgaa
Streaming platform Netflix has announced that the upcoming crime-comedy drama Maa Behen will release on June 4. The announcement was made on Friday on the occasion of actress Madhuri Dixit’s 59th birthday.
Netflix shared a teaser of the film on Instagram with the caption, “Dhak dhak ho raha hai? Tareekh note kar lo. Watch Maa Behen, out 4 June, only on Netflix.”
The teaser gives a glimpse of the film’s story, where the characters played by Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, and Dharna Durgaa are seen trying to hide a dead body inside their house. The teaser also features the famous song Dhak Dhak Karne Laga from the 1992 film Beta in the background.
Directed by Suresh Triveni, who is known for films like Tumhari Sulu, Jalsa, and Subedaar, the movie follows Rekha, played by Madhuri, whose life takes a dramatic turn after a dead body appears in her kitchen.
According to the film’s official storyline, Rekha and her two daughters — Jaya, played by Triptii, and Sushma, played by Dharna Durgaa — try to handle the situation while keeping suspicious neighbours away from the truth.
The film also stars Ravi Kishan and Arunoday Singh in important roles.
On the work front, Madhuri Dixit was last seen in the thriller series Mrs. Deshpande on JioHotstar, while Triptii Dimri recently appeared in O’ Romeo directed by Vishal Bhardwaj alongside Shahid Kapoor.
