Traffic to be diverted in Khadki Bazar area in Pune City as metro work nears completion
The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. has almost completed its work on the metro rail project in the Khadki Traffic division of Pune City. However, the ongoing metro work has led to the creation of a one-way route between Bopodi Chowk and Church Chowk, causing significant inconvenience to drivers in the area.

In order to address this issue, the Maharashtra Government Home Department has issued a notification to change the traffic flow in the area, in accordance with the Motor Vehicles Act. As part of this initiative, barricading will be set up at necessary points for two-wheelers and three-wheelers traveling between Bopodi Chowk and Church Chowk.

To allow for a smooth transition, the Khadki Traffic Department in Pune has announced an experimental diversion of traffic from April 7 to April 13. Two-wheeler and three-wheeler drivers going towards Pune from Bopodi Chowk will be stopped at Bopodi Chowk, Swar Khadki Railway Station, and CFVD. They will then be redirected towards Ordnance Factory Hospital circle, before turning right at Constituent Chowk (Church Chowk).

The initiative is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion in the Khadki Bazar area, and provide a more efficient and safer route for drivers. The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. has expressed its gratitude for the cooperation of the public during the course of the project, and looks forward to the successful completion of the metro rail system in Pune City.
