Maharashtra govt lifts restrictions from 17 districts

The downward trend in the Covid19 cases has brought some cheer among the citizens, as the state government has relaxed the restrictions in 18 districts. 

The state disaster management cell approved the decision. 
Below are the districts where the restrictions will be lifted which will provide some relief to the citizens. 

Aurangabad, Bhandara, Buldhana, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Gondia, Jalna, Latur, Nagpur, Nanded, Nashik, Parbhani, Thane, Wardha, Washim and Yavatmal are the districts where the restrictions will be relaxed. The decision shall be in force from June 4, 2021.

Vijay Wadewattiwar, Rehabilitation Minister in a press conference announced that the districts which have positivity rate less than 5 percent only on such districts the rules shall be relaxed. 

In a meeting held in view of the Covid19 situation in the state, a decision on cancelling Class XII was also taken. The state government shall take decision of unlocking in the state on five levels. 

Also in those districts where there are 25 percent oxygen beds are occupied the unlocking of such districts shall take place. In such districts, all shops, gardens, saloon and theatres shall remain open. 

What will remain open from tomorrow, June 4, 2021 :

Restaurants, Malls, Gardens, Walking Tracks

Private as well as govt offices to remain open with 100 % attendance 
Permission for film shooting is granted. Theaters shall be allowed to remain open. Ecommerce companies shall remain open. Gyms, saloons shall be allowed to remain open. Public transport shall be allowed with 100 percent capacity. Intra district transport shall be allowed. Guidelines on inter state transport shall be issued later and separately. 

Five levels of unlocking : 

  • First level – Complete unlock
  • Second level – Limited Unlocking 
  • Third level – Unlocking with some restrictions 
  • Fourth level – Restrictions to continue 
  • Fifth level – Red zone, complete lockdown
