Maharashtra has approved ₹770.49 crore for the development of Kalamboli Junction, a key infrastructure project covering 15.53 km. This five-arm, signalized rotary junction connects major routes, including the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, NH-48, NH-548, and the Sion-Panvel Highway.

The revamped junction will provide seamless access to the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) and Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT). The project features a 2-level interchange with a directional/stack system to ensure signal-free traffic, reducing delays and enhancing traffic flow across all connecting highways.
