Maharashtra State Board announces tentative schedule for Class 12 & Class 10 examinations. Check details
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has decided to start the Class 12 board exams from February 11, and Class 10 exams from February 21, 2024. While the exams will begin on these dates, there is an ongoing check to ensure no exams clash with local holidays or CBSE exam dates. After this, the final timetable will be released, according to senior officials from the board.
For Class 12 students, the exam schedule will allow enough time to prepare for competitive exams like JEE and NEET.
The Class 11 admission process can also begin on time. Students who fail will be able to appear for supplementary exams early, making it easier for them to get admission in the next academic year. The decision to start the exams 10 days earlier than usual was made keeping these factors in mind.
The tentative schedule was shared earlier for feedback from students and parents, but the board only received 40 minor objections. With these resolved, the tentative schedule is now final, a senior official confirmed.
Here’s the key exam schedule:
- – Class 12 Practical Exams: January 24 to February 10
- – Class 12 Written Exams: February 11 to March 18
- – Class 10 Practical Exams: February 3 to February 20
- – Class 10 Written Exams: February 21 to March 17
A review of local holidays and CBSE exam dates is ongoing, and the final schedule is expected within 15 days.
