Pune– Following the lukewarm response to the State Common Entrance Test exam for admissions to BBA, BCA, BMS, and BBM courses, the state government has decided to conduct an additional round of exams for aspirants. The State Common Entrance Test has already conducted the CET exam this year. However, the number of candidates who appeared for the exam was significantly lower than the number of available seats. As a result, thousands of seats in colleges were expected to remain vacant.
Now, students who wish to opt for admission to BBA, BCA, etc courses will get another chance. The State government CET Cell issued a statement on Friday stating “Common Entrance Test was conducted on May 29, 2024, for admission to BBA, BCA, BMS, and BBM courses. Due to the inability of numerous candidates to appear in the CET, candidates/parents/institutions have requested to conduct an additional Common Entrance Test. Keeping in mind the educational interest of the candidates, the government has approved the conduct of an additional CET exam for admission to BBA, BCA, BMS, and BBM courses”.
Many students have welcomed the decision for additional CET as they will get another chance to appear for the exam and take admission to courses of their choice. For more information, kindly visit the official website
