Six children were injured when a shed collapsed on a football ground in Thane, Maharashtra, on June 21. The incident occurred around 11:42 pm, while 17 children were playing. According to the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), the shed fell due to strong winds.

The injured children were rushed to Bethany Hospital in Thane for treatment. Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik visited the hospital to meet the injured children. He stated, “Seventeen to eighteen children were playing football when a roof from another building collapsed due to the wind. Seven children were injured, with four in stable condition and three in critical condition.”

Sarnaik also mentioned discussing the incident with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, ensuring that the families of the injured children receive necessary support.
