Maharashtra State To Formulate Unified Policy For Hill Top, Hill Slope, And BDP Issues, Says Minister Madhuri Misal
Pune:Â The issues concerning Hill Top, Hill Slope, and Biodiversity Parks (BDP) vary across different regions in the state. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has instructed the preparation of proposals tailored to the specific needs of each area. Accordingly, a comprehensive policy for these matters will be formulated in the near future, stated Minister of State for Urban Development Madhuri Misal during a press conference.
On Friday, Minister Misal held a review meeting at the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) with Municipal Commissioner Rajendra Bhonsle and other officials to discuss development projects and works under PMC’s jurisdiction. Minister Misal shared that the review encompassed one year of development projects under the Urban Development Ministry. Discussions were held about pending projects, the challenges associated with them, and the expectations from the state government. Key topics included the 24/7 water supply scheme, property tax levied on Pune households, and the proposal to merge certain parts of the Cantonment area with the PMC.

Minister Misal also directed that damaged roads should be repaired with asphalt within 24 hours of excavation. Failure to comply will lead to action against both the contractor and the municipal engineers involved.
