Man Fined More Than One Thousand Rupees For Using Toilet In Vande Bharat Express

In an unfortunate incident in Madhya Pradesh’s Singrauli area, a man named Abdul Kadir found himself in trouble after he used the washroom facility of a Vande Bharat Express train without a valid ticket for the journey.
Abdul Kadir was at Bhopal railway station with his family, waiting to board the Dakshin Express train to Hyderabad. However, he needed to use the toilet urgently. Instead of using the station’s toilet, he decided to board the Vande Bharat Express to avail of the train’s facilities.
As fate would have it, just after Abdul boarded the Vande Bharat Express and used the washroom, the train departed from the station, leaving him locked inside without a proper ticket. Despite his pleas, the train didn’t stop, and he found himself in a difficult situation.
Subsequently, the Ticketing and Travelling Examiner (TTE) on the train fined Abdul Kadir ₹1020 for traveling without a valid ticket. Additionally, he was charged the cost of the ticket to Ujjain. In order to return to Bhopal station and rejoin his family, he had to spend an additional ₹700 to ₹800. As a result of this incident, Abdul also missed the train he was supposed to take with his family, causing further inconvenience and financial loss of ₹3,000 to ₹4,000.
In total, Abdul Kadir had to pay ₹ 1020 as a consequence of using the washroom on the Vande Bharat Express without a proper ticket. The incident occurred on July 15.
A senior official from Bhopal Railway Division stated that before the Vande Bharat train departs, an announcement is made to inform passengers about the opening direction of the doors and that the doors are locked during the journey. This safety measure is in place to ensure the safety of the passengers and prevent any mishaps during the train’s journey.
