Man Impersonating As Air Force Personnel Arrested In Pune

Pune: A person impersonating an Indian Air Force personnel has been arrested in Pune during a joint operation by Southern Command Military Intelligence Pune and the Kharadi Police Station, Pune Police announced on Sunday.
According to Pune Police, the accused, Gaurav Kumar (father’s name – Dinesh Kumar), was apprehended after receiving confidential information about his suspicious movements.
Following thorough verification and surveillance, a joint team from Southern Command Military Intelligence and Kharadi Police Station detained the accused on May 18 at 8:40 PM in the Kharadi area of Pune city.
During the operation, items used in the impersonation were seized from the accused. These included two Air Force T-shirts, one pair of Air Force combat pants, one pair of Air Force combat shoes, two Air Force badges, and one track suit upper, police stated.

A case has been registered against the accused at Kharadi Police Station under Section 168 of the Indian Penal Code (BNS). An investigation is currently underway to determine the motive behind his actions and any potential security implications. Further details are expected soon.
