Massive Fire Breaks Out At Chemical Factory In Dombivli

A chemical factory in Maharashtra’s Dombivli experienced a boiler explosion, resulting in six workers sustaining injuries. The incident also triggered a significant fire within the factory premises located in Dombivli’s MIDC phase-2, specifically in the Amber Chemical Company compound.

According to an eyewitness speaking to PTI, the explosion’s impact was audible up to a kilometre away, with the glass windows of nearby buildings suffering cracks.
Dombivali MIDC is known to have dangerous chemical companies who dont do routine maintenance. They work on simple principle, ki udna toh ek din sab ko hai.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reported that eight individuals who were trapped inside the factory have been successfully rescued. Additionally, he mentioned the deployment of teams from NDRF, TDRF and the fire brigade to the site. Ongoing efforts are focused on containing and extinguishing the blaze.
According to the reports coming in, approximately thirty people have been safely evacuated from the building. Ambulances and over ten fire engines are currently stationed at the scene. Officials anticipate that extinguishing the fire could require more than four hours.
As of now, there have been no reported fatalities from the incident. However, several individuals sustained injuries in the explosion.
