Massive fire broke out in Nigdi scrap shop; Fire officers douse fire successfully

On 26th November (Sunday), a huge fire broke out in a scrap shop in Dalvinagar area of Nigdi. No injuries or casualties happened during the incident.

As per further information shared by Gautam Ingawale, PCMC Fire Officer, at 6:10 am on Sunday, a person called and informed about a massive fire in Dalvinagar in Nigdi. Immediately, PCMC fire vehicle MH 14 CL 1657 reached the spot when the scrap shop caught fire. 

Two houses were found to be on fire along with a nearby saloon shop. Vehicles from other fire stations were called for help as the fire intensified.

The fire was completely extinguished by throwing water on the fire with the help of hose reels. No casualties or injuries have taken place but the loss of scrap shop turned out to be of over Rs 5 Lakh.

Officers from Chikhali Fire Station, Pimpri Fire Station, Ratni Fire Station, Thergaon Fire Station, Talawade Fire Station along with Officers Rishikant Chipade, Gautam Ingwale, Sub Officer Dilip Gaikwad, Leading Fireman Sampat Ground, Sarang Mangrulkar, Sanjay Mahadik, Prateek Kamble etc participated in the operation.
