The 3 accused involved in the murder of a 28-year-old man have been sentenced to life imprisonment on Saturday (25th November).

As per further information, when Dushyant Sharma, 28, matched with Priya Seth on Tinder and the two appeared to have similar interests, he was ecstatic. The two decided to meet in person after three months of communicating over the app. Dushyant quickly accepted the 27-year-old’s proposal to meet at a rented apartment.

However, the February 2018 start date of the relationship was doomed from the beginning because it was based on two lies. Dushyant, a married man, was using the fake name Vivan Kohli on Tinder to impersonate a prosperous businessman from Delhi. In contrast, Priya had only initiated the conversation with the intention of kidnapping Dushyant and demanding ransom.

No sooner had Dushyant entered the house than Priya, with the assistance of two accomplices, Dikshant Kamra and Lakshya Walia, abducted him.

When they made the ransom call, they discovered that the “Delhi businessman” was not as wealthy as he had claimed to be. Dushyant was killed by the accused by being repeatedly stabbed and having a pillow smothered after his family failed to pay Rs 10 lakh.

Dushyant’s debit card was taken by Priya, who made him divulge the pin. They took out Rs 20,000 with the card after the father had deposited Rs 3 lakh. The three accused killed Dushyant because they thought the world would discover their crime.

On May 4, 2018, his body was discovered in a suitcase in a village outside of Jaipur.

On Saturday (25th November), a Jaipur court sentenced the three defendants to life in prison for the killing of Dushyant Sharma. Sessions Judge Ajit Kumar Hinger stated in his ruling that the prosecution had provided sufficient proof to support the facts.
