Emergency responders at the scene of the fatal car accident near Naigaon, where two women lost their lives and four others were injured.

In a heart-wrenching incident on the old Pune-Mumbai highway near Naigaon, a car accident resulted in the deaths of two women and left four others injured. The accident occurred when the driver, identified as 23-year-old Sumit Gulab Pinjan from Keenai, Maval, lost control of his Innova, causing it to overturn.

The victims, who were travelling in the car, were identified as Sitabai Tukaram Lalgude, 58, from Kusgaon Khurd, and 18-year-old Siddhi Santosh Tikone from Patan, both in the district of Maval. Sadly, both women succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The injured include 14-year-old Riddhi Santosh Tikone, Priyanka Sangram Bhanusghare, Subhadra Kisan Bhanusgare, and Lata Kisan Pinjan, all of whom are currently receiving medical attention.

Rishinath Tukaram Lalgude, 43, also from Kusgaon Khurd, has lodged a formal complaint at the Kamshet Police Station following the tragic event. The police have since registered a case against the driver, Sumit Pinjan, holding him accountable for the mishap.

Investigations are ongoing, with the Kamshet Police diligently working to determine the exact circumstances that led to this tragic accident. The community mourns the loss of life and hopes for a speedy recovery of the injured.
