Mayor kicks off ‘Vocal for local’ with a Smart Saarthi e-commerce site

Due to COVID, the situation of businesses in the country has drastically worsened as all the businesses were massively hit due to lockdown to cease the spread of COVID. However, PCMC has kicked off an e-commerce site that will largely focus on boosting the “Vocal for local” initiative; helping the local businessmen and merchant to uplift their businesses and regularly update themselves with merchant laws, discounts and online shopping facility.

According to the information provided by city Mayor, Usha Dhore, in the initial months, the businesses may avail the opportunity of featuring on the websites for free of cost until the further notice. The mayor has urged the citizens to gain maximum benefits out of the newly launched website.

She said, “Through this website, one may be able to understand the demands of consumers, and accordingly, one may vary their business model. This site will surely boost the business opportunities, and grow the existing business in the city.”
