Pune: Sunil Vedpathak, an amateur painter and currently serving as a District Judge in Pune, has captured the hearts of art enthusiasts with his unique and diverse paintings of peacocks.

The exhibition features 180 drawings of peacocks, which have been arranged at Balgandharva Kala Dalan between 7 to 11 April. Despite his busy schedule, Vedpathak dedicates time every day to create peacock art, which he considers a reflection of human emotions.

Vedpathak’s paintings are characterized by his spontaneity, imagination, and artistic style. He has drawn thousands of peacock paintings without any formal training, and each painting is distinct from the other. His Mayur Chitra exhibition has been previously organized in Osmanabad, Satara, and Kolhapur, and has received an overwhelming response from fans.

“I have been following this hobby for the past 20 years, and wherever my posting is, I do such exhibitions. Everyone has their own hobbies, and through this exhibition, I would like to give a message to students and working-class individuals to follow their hobbies,” said Sunil Vedpathak.

He added, “My art is related to peacocks, and I draw different designs of peacocks every time. It took me 6 months to complete the drawings for this exhibition, and on average, each painting takes around 20-25 minutes to draw.”

Vedpathak finds immense joy in drawing peacocks and is motivated by the happiness he sees on the faces of others when they admire his artwork. He hopes that his whimsical art will inspire students and others to pursue their own hobbies.
