Meet the Man Who Once Worked at Narayana Murthy’s Infosys as an Office Boy, Now Owns Two Companies
From working as a room service boy to becoming the founder of two successful companies, Bhagat’s journey is a testament to resilience, hard work and an unrelenting drive to succeed.
Dadasaheb Bhagat, hailing from a small village in Beed, Maharashtra, embarked on an extraordinary journey of transformation. Early in life, Bhagat left his hometown for Pune, driven by dreams of success and a desire to shape his destiny. Starting from humble beginnings, he worked as a room service attendant at Infosys, earning just Rs 9,000 per month. Little did anyone know that this was the start of a remarkable entrepreneurial path.
While working at Infosys, Bhagat pursued a diploma at an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and later enrolled in an animation course. Learning computer languages like Python and C++ eventually enabled him to launch his first company, Ninthmotion, a venture that would soon serve over 6,000 clients worldwide, including the 9XM music channel.
Despite facing personal hardships, including a serious car accident that forced him to leave his job, Bhagat remained determined. He used this challenging period to create design libraries, which led to the foundation of his second venture, DooGraphics. DooGraphics is a platform that allows users to create Canva-like designs and templates, a first of its kind in India.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Bhagat moved his business operations to his village, setting up a workspace in a cattle shed with the help of friends. His persistence paid off when he appeared on Shark Tank India Season 3, where he impressed investor Aman Gupta, securing Rs 1 crore for 10% equity in his company, elevating its value significantly. His companies, including DooGraphics, have gained prestigious clients like BBC Studios, solidifying his place as a pioneer in India’s design industry.
