MNGL supply remains affected in Pune

The supply of Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited remained affected of more than 1000 consumers since May 9 night. The consumers were left with no communication from the company as to why the supply remained affected. The frantic calls made to the helpline numbers went unanswered.

Angry consumers took to Twitter to raise the complaint but that remained neglected too. The supply remained affected in Kondhwa, Wanowrie, Undri, Katraj and Mohamadwadi areas in Pune.

A resident said,MNGL Emergency number 02027379001 when called gives out a reply as it does not exists. 9604015444 and +919011676767 are continuously busy. Consumer helpline 18002662696 works only in the day from 0800. There is no other method to contact MNGL. Twitter handle @mngl_in has not responded since last night. Consumers feel that this is the worst consumer service of a Public Utility. There is no supply and no feedback for last 10 hours.”

The office goers are having tough time and the ordeal for families with senior citizens and children are finding it tough to begin their daily routine.

When Pune Pulse spoke to the managing director of MNGL Pune Deepak Sawant he said that the repair works while being carried at Katraj affected the supply of over 50 societies. The restoration work began at 4 am in the morning and was continued till 8.30 am. The settings of the gas supply network is being carried out at many and the supply shall restore in shortly.”

Another resident from NIBM road said that there has always been service issue with MNGL. There should have been proper communication from the company. Half of our society has connection while the other half is still waiting to get the supply back.
