Aniket nets 8 in UKM huge win
Pune: Diego Juniors and F.C Joseph earned full points from their Second Division encounters, while Aniket Avghade starred with an 8-goal effort for Utkarsh Krida Manch F.C in the Under-16 Youth segment on the opening day of the Poona District Football Association (PDFA) League 2021-22, here on Sunday, May 8.

At the SSPMS Ground, both Pool-A matches’ produced results. Diego Juniors downed Valley Hunters 3-0 after gaining from an early ‘own goal’ by Deepak Morya (4th) and then having Austin Almeida (3oth) and Harshit Kamdar (62nd) complete the scoreline. Later, F.C Joseph pipped Sunny Days F.C 1-0 after holding on to Pravin Nagrikranti (32nd) penalty kick conversion.
On Pool-B, PCH Lions were held by National Youth F.A 1-1m while Bopodi S.A held NDA Youth Sports Club 1-1 and in Pool-C Ghorpadi Tamil United played out a 0-0 draw with Keshav Mdhav Prathisthan.
Big scores were logged in the Youth League that began at the Shiv Chhatrapathi Sports Complex, Balewadi with UKM teaching Young Steps a lesion with a landslide 21-0 win. Aniket Avghade (8 goals) led the way and was supported by Aniket Singh (4 goals) and Nilesh Dare (3 goals) respectively. In another match Loukik F.A hammered Ryan F.A 13-0 with Soham Namjoshi (4 goals) leading the way.
