Pune: After the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) decided to introduce the descriptive pattern similar to UPSC examination for mains examination 2023, students preparing for the MPSC examination are opposing the decision.

Today MPSC students in large numbers staged a protest in Alka Chowk, Pune demanding the board to roll back its decision and bring it into effect from 2025.

“During Covid periods, the examinations were not conducted while MPSC has changed the pattern into descriptive format for mains examination. Before the pattern was announced, we were preparing for objective questions and if the descriptive pattern is implemented for the coming examination we will get less time to prepare.  So, the descriptive pattern should come into  effect from 2025,” said Manoj Pingale, MPSC student.

Another MPSC student Mahesh Garbhude said, “Students should get justice and now we are in a confused state of how to prepare for the examination. As a descriptive pattern was introduced for the 2023 examination, we are left with less time to prepare. We should get a solution to this as soon as possible.”
