Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited has urged the electricity consumers to utilize their app for reporting any instances of transformer burnouts or malfunctions.

As per the information provided, if transformer burns or malfunctions, it is imperative to promptly repair the affected area. Following the directives of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, MSEDCL has initiated a campaign.

Consequently, the faulty transformers are being replaced within a maximum of three days upon receiving the notification. To facilitate this, customers can conveniently utilize the feature available on MSEDCL’s mobile application.

As per the information received, in order to tackle the issue of delay in replacing burnt transformers with repaired ones, MSEDCL has implemented several strategies. These include promptly supplying transformer oil and maintaining a stock of repaired transformers. The replacement and repair process is closely monitored on a daily basis at the headquarters. This initiative has proven to be effective, as MSEDCL is now able to replace transformers within a span of three days upon receiving malfunction reports. However, it should be noted that if a transformer is discovered to be burnt, there may be further delays in restoring power supply.

To initiate the process, access the MSEDCL application on your mobile device. Next, select the designated button and click on the customer’s name and number. Identify the marking near the closed transformer and specify the fault associated with it. Capture a photograph of the transformer in question and proceed to upload it. Finally, register the complaint by either pressing the submit button or completing the registration process. This will ensure that the complaint regarding the transformer is officially recorded and directly transmitted to MSEDCL’s main server. Additionally, an SMS notification will be sent to the relevant officials, urging them to promptly address and repair the transformer.
