Footage of Mukesh Ambani’s interaction with his daughter-in-law, Radhika Merchant, has sparked controversy online, with many criticizing his actions during a religious event.

India’s richest businessman, Mukesh Ambani, has come under fire after a video surfaced showing him holding his daughter-in-law, Radhika Merchant, around the stomach during a Ganesh Chaturthi ceremony. The incident, which occurred in the presence of Ambani’s son Anant Ambani and daughter-in-law Shloka Mehta, has led to widespread outrage on social media.

In the viral clip, Mukesh Ambani can be seen pulling Radhika while engaging with photographers. This gesture has drawn harsh criticism, with many online users accusing him of inappropriate behavior.

One user on X (formerly Twitter) remarked, “Someone should teach him about good touch and bad touch. She looked uncomfortable for a while!”

Another user echoed similar sentiments, writing, “Who pulls their daughter-in-law like this? She seemed uncomfortable.”

However, not everyone agreed with the criticism. A section of social media defended Ambani, suggesting that the gesture was protective and not inappropriate.

One user commented, “Why is Mukesh Ambani being criticized for his actions with Radhika? It’s natural for a father to be protective of his daughter.”

As of now, the Ambanis have not publicly responded to the controversy, though speculation continues regarding whether the video might be removed due to the family’s significant influence.

Radhika Merchant married Anant Ambani earlier this year in a grand wedding that captured national attention. Mukesh Ambani’s eldest son, Akash, is married to Shloka Mehta, with whom he shares two children.
