Shri Siddhivinayak Ganpati Mandir Nyas , Prabhadevi, Mumbai has announced that the temple will remain closed from December 11 and 15 wherein the Sindur Lepan ritual will be performed on the Lord Ganesha’s Idol. During this period the Mukh Darshan of the idol won’t be allowed but devotees would be allowed entry to the temple and Darshan of Lord Ganesha’s replica would be allowed. 

Every year Sindur lepan is held before Maghi Ganesh Jayanti. All ongoing Poojas and other rituals will continue to take place during this period. 

On December 16, Sthalahuddhi of the temple’s sanctum sanctorum will be performed with udakshanti and prokshan Vidhi would be performed followed by mahapooja, Aarti and Prasad. From 1 pm onwards darshan from the sanctum sanctorum will be allowed. 

Every year even Sindur Lepan of the Shri Maruti’s idol is performed. The Shri Maruti temple will also be closed for Darshan during this period. From December 16 Shri Maruti mandir will be opened after performing Sankshipt Chalan Vidhi on the idol.
