Pune: A collision occurred between multiple vehicles on the Nashik-Mumbai highway, resulting in injuries to five individuals on Sunday evening.
According to the provided information, when passengers were getting down safely a Shivshahi bus collided with a truck in Kasara Ghat, leading to the collision of a trailer with the bus behind it.
The bus sustained significant damage in the accident. However, all the passengers on board were safely evacuated.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Shyam Dhumal, Datta Vatade, Sharad Kale, and Deva Wagh members of the disaster management team promptly arrived at the scene and provided assistance. The fire was quickly extinguished with the help of the bus driver.
Meanwhile, two passengers suffered severe injuries and were admitted to Igatpuri Rural Hospital. The disaster management team members, highway safety police, and Kasara police also arrived at the scene. The accident caused long queues of vehicles at Kasara Ghat. Nevertheless, the police efficiently dispersed the vehicles and cleared the traffic.
